2011-2014
Our Parents
Four Brothers Handcrafted Chocolates was founded in 2011 by our sweet parents John & Gigi. Throughout our childhood our parents were making confections constantly for family and friends. With their delicious Toffee and Truffle recipes they began selling at Wheaton's outdoor French Market in 2011 and quickly became one of the most popular booths. After three wonderful years, they realized they couldn't keep up with demand while maintaining their full-time jobs and decided to close their little business in the Spring of 2014.
2017-2019
The Brothers
Three years later, upon graduation from Taylor University, John O. (the eldest brother) decided it was time to re-open the business and grow Four Brothers Chocolates. With our handcrafted Butter Almond Toffee, Fresh Cream Honey Ganache Truffles, Puddles, Old-Fashioned Caramels, and Drinking Chocolate, we continued to sell at outdoor markets and through many wonderful gift and food shops throughout the Chicago suburbs. We quickly became a preferred corporate gift supplier for many of the areas businesses. The Four Brothers were all involved during this time of growth. 2019-2021
Wheaton, IL
Through continued growth we purchased the iconic "Jack Straws" building in downtown Wheaton in 2019. We absolutely loved reviving this building and opened to tremendous reception in the summer of 2020. That summer we introduced new flavors of Truffles, our signature Puddle (Turtle) and started selling ice cream to be enjoyed on our beautiful patio. We love our little corner in the town we grew up in.
2021-2023
Wilmar Chocolates
In August of 2021 our family was presented with the opportunity to acquire one of Wisconsin's most loved Chocolates Shops; Wilmar Chocolates of Appleton, WI. Wilmar was founded in 1956 and handcrafts over 100 confections including Creams, Truffles, Melt-A-Ways, French Mints, and much more.
This move provided our team with a beautiful 12,000 square foot kitchen and production space which has helped us as we grow.
That summer our father John joined us full-time. We love working with our Dad and seeing him jump back into his passion of chocolate making.
2023-2024
Blue Heaven Ice Cream
Founded in 2019, Blue Heaven Ice cream is nestled in the beautiful city of Fontana-on-Geneva Lake, WI and carries 24 super premium hard packed ice cream flavors. Open Mid-April through Mid-September.
We were thrilled to purchase Blue Heaven Ice Cream in August of 2023 and quickly opened our second Four Brothers Chocolates on the backside of the same building.
Our summers are busy now and we have a wonderful ice cream cart for weddings and events.
2023-2024
Fontana, WI
That same summer we opened our second Four Brothers Chocolates nestled in the beautiful lake town of Fontana-on-Geneva Lake, WI. We are just behind our brother store Blue Heaven Ice Cream.
